Dog Hikes on Thanksgiving 2012
Thanksgiving is a day for you humans to give thanks, eat food, watch football, eat more food, watch more football, eat more food, etc... etc... But what are we dogs supposed to do? Sitting around smelling all the delicious food we aren't allowed to eat isn't my idea of a holiday!
That's why I am so excited to invite your furry family member to the 3rd annual Pant & Wag Thanksgiving Day Wild Turkey Hunt Hike!
This year's special hike takes place in Great Falls Park (http://www.nps.gov/grfa/index.htm). Great Falls is an 800 acre National Park which features great hiking trails, breathtaking waterfalls, and various wildlife--including actual Wild Turkeys!
We will hike through these woods and alongside the Potomac River, as we search for these elusive birds. And while we won't actually capture any of these birds I bet we will be able to pick up their scent as we frolic around the woods.
So get your dog out of the house this Thanksgiving Day and sign him up for the Wild Turkey Hunt Hike!
